Esterlina Vineyards
Philo, Mendocino County, CA
Esterlina Vineyards was founded in 2000 by winemaker Eric Sterling and his parents,
Murio and Doris Sterling. The winery is nestled in the highlands above Philo, CA, near the
Mendocino Coast with a total annual production of about 8000 cases. From vine to wine,
Esterlina’s wines are handcrafted and based on a winemaking style that is embodied
in their motto — small quantity, high quality.
Esterlina believes that the creation of truly exceptional wines begins with the careful
selection of terrior, varietals and clones. As such, they have vineyards in the Alexander
Valley, Anderson Valley, Cole Ranch and Russian River Valley AVAs.
Esterlina’s 253-acre ranch in Mendocino County encompasses the 189-acre Cole Ranch
AVA, the smallest AVA in the U.S. and home to less than 60 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot, Pinot Noir and Riesling.
